Unfortunately, DaBaby’s new year is off to a rough start after being arrested and cited with possession of marijuana and resisting arrest following a concert in his hometown of Charlotte, NC two weeks ago. On Jan. 2, DaBaby was arrested again, this time in Miami in connection with the battery and robbery of a concert promoter.
Members of DaBaby’s crew allegedly robbed and beat up the promoter after he shorted DaBaby on a payment for a show the “BOP” rapper was supposed to do later that night at a club, giving him $20k instead of $30k. The incident and DaBaby’s subsequent arrest were caught on video, and DaBaby appeared in court the next day and said he had a quarter million dollars in his hotel that he needed his lawyer to grab. Got DAMN!
He’s been released on bail, but his problems are far from over as he also has an active warrant in Texas stemming from a recent fight he got into at the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport. Let’s hope everything turns out alright for Baby Jesus.
